ANDRII IVANCSO (born in 1972)- a painter.
Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2009).
He graduated from the Art Department of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Ivano-Frankivsk(1995).
He received his fist drawing lessons, his love for atr and nature, from his gradfather, the artist Tibor Jordan.
After graduation he taught in Children`s Art School until 1999, and currently teaches in Pedagogical College in Mukachevo.
In 2001 he headed the Mukachevo City Art Gallery.
Since 2003 he has been the member of the National Union of Artist Ukraine.
Since 1997 – the participant of national and international art exhibitions and international piein airs. He held several personal exhibitions in Ukraine and Hungary.
He works in easel painting in the style of abstract expressionism. The subject of native Carpathian land predominates in his creativity. In his art understanding of the world he often resorts to visual methods of decorativism^ plane organization of a picture, using a palette of pure colors, stylization, simplification of artistic forms.
Sceneries, still lifes and abstract composition of the artist differ in intellectual comprehension and analyticity of the art conception, freshness of figurative impressions, mastery of artistic generalization.
Works of the artist are stored in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum named after Y. Bokshai (Uzhhorod), Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine (Kyiv), City State Art Gallery (Chernivtsi),Kolomyia National Museum named after Y. Kobrynskyi and in collections CIVIS « Delibab» / Debrecen .Hungaria/ , «KARPATHAZO GALERIA» / Budapest. Hungaria/ and private collection in Ukraine , Hungary, Canada, Romania, Poland, Slovakia and China.
